Getting started
Is the free tier really free?
Yes. No credit card, no trial period, no expiration. Free is for individual exploration; it's limited in scope, not capability. Paid plans exist for when BeMo becomes something you rely on.
What does open beta mean?
BeMo is in open beta: the product is real, in daily use, and still being built in the open, so it improves week to week. The free tier is real, and billing is off during beta: the prices are published so you know what BeMo costs, but no one is charged until general availability. We would rather show you early than polish in private.
How long does setup take?
Your first conversation takes 60 seconds. There are no forms to fill out and no dashboards to configure; you describe what you're working on, and BeMo meets you there. The picture of your organization builds as you work.
Do we have to migrate everything to start?
No. Start with a conversation. Connect the tools you already use when you're ready; BeMo coexists with your current systems rather than replacing them on day one.
We're tiny. Is this really for us?
BeMo is built specifically for small and mid-sized nonprofits: the ED doing five jobs, the two-person development team, the organization where everything lives in one person's head. The free tier means size is never the barrier to finding out.
Working with BeMo
We already use ChatGPT or Claude.
Claude is yours. BeMo is your organization's. When you leave, Claude leaves with you. BeMo stays.
Do we have to replace our CRM?
No. BeMo is not a CRM and doesn't replace one. It's the layer where the knowledge lives and the work compounds. Your CRM knows five thousand names; BeMo knows the twelve relationships that matter today, and why.
Will the AI make decisions for us?
No. BeMo drafts and proposes; people decide. Nothing enters your Knowledge Base without your confirmation, every fact shows its source, and BeMo tells you when it doesn't know. Your judgment is the one thing it's built to support, never replace.
How is this different from a grant database?
Databases give you volume; BeMo gives you fit. You see why a funder matches your mission and capacity, not just that they exist, and every cycle builds on the last instead of starting from a blank search box.
Your data
Is our data safe?
Your outputs are yours. Your data is never used to train models and never shared. World data (funders, grants, public filings) comes from public sources; the picture of your organization is built with you, fact by fact, with every source shown. More on the Security page →
Can we export everything?
Yes, anytime. No lock-in, by design. We win by being worth staying for, not by holding your knowledge hostage.
Who can see our information?
Your organization, governed by roles and permissions you control. Nothing about your organization is visible to anyone else unless you choose to share it.
Where does BeMo's funding data come from?
Public sources: private foundation filings, government grant programs at every level, and corporate giving records, unified and enriched by us. We publish our progress openly. See where we are →
What happens if we stop paying?
You export everything and go, or drop back to Free. Monthly billing, no long-term contracts, no exit fees. Nothing should make walking away hard; that's what makes staying meaningful.
Support and pricing
What support do we get?
Support goes straight to the people who build the product. There are no ticket tiers and no layers between what you experience and what changes next.
Do you offer nonprofit discounts?
The pricing is already built for nonprofit budgets. We don't inflate a base price to advertise a discount off it. Every price is published on the pricing page.
What happens when someone leaves our organization?
On Team, your organizational memory persists regardless of who is on the team. The next person starts with real context instead of an empty inbox. That's the point of BeMo.
