About

The work keeps happening. It just doesn't always build.

BeMo exists because everything a nonprofit knows, its processes, its funders, its voice, its strategy, has nowhere to live. We're building the place where it lives.

This is not a people problem.

None of it is a failure of effort or talent. It's what happens when capable people work without a system that holds what they know.

Same people. Same effort. Different system.
××××Without a systemSame people, with a systemYear oneYear three

Both lines are the same capable people doing the same work. Each × is a transition: a departure, a new board, a new grant cycle. The only variable is the system underneath.

The sector has spent two decades on tools that speed up tasks. None of them hold the knowledge together. BeMo is built for that instead.

Built with you and alongside you.

BeMo's product decisions come from a standing practice called Talk to People: real conversations with nonprofit professionals doing real work, before and after every feature. Support goes straight to the people who build the product. There are no layers between what you experience and what changes next.

BeMo runs on BeMo. We manage our own company on the platform we're asking you to trust. When something doesn't work, we feel it first.

Founded in 2024 by Becky Kern and Lee Grainger, and built in the open since day one.

You tell us what the work actually needs
We build it and ship it
You use it; we hear what landed
It gets better, together

The depth behind the answers

Not an AI bolted onto a chatbot.

Behind BeMo is a data foundation built the hard way: private foundations, public grant programs at every level of government, and corporate giving, unified into one picture. And we will always tell you exactly where we are.

The commitments.

  • Free access. Real work. No pitch. The free tier is real: not a trial, not a demo.
  • BeMo tells you when it doesn't know. No confident guesses about your organization.
  • No lock-in, by design. Export everything and leave, anytime. We win by being worth staying for.
  • Your data is yours. Never used to train models, never shared, exportable anytime.
About us

Two founders, building in the open.

BeMo started in 2024, in Upstate New York, with a pattern we could not stop seeing. Capable organizations were doing good work that didn't build. A development director would leave, and the funder history would leave too. A strategic plan written with care would stop mattering within months. Every tool the sector adopted made tasks faster, and none of them held the knowledge together.

So we built the place where an organization's knowledge lives, and we run our own company on it: BeMo runs on BeMo. Product decisions come from a standing practice we call Talk to People, real conversations with nonprofit professionals before and after every feature ships.

There is no grand founding myth here. Becky Kern and Lee Grainger kept seeing the same problem, from the strategy side and the engineering side of the same work, and decided to build the system that solves it, in the open, alongside the people it's for.
